The "Airdance" in all Aluminum is a new entry into the Airdance family of Outdoor mobiles. It is a full-movement, outdoor mobile, composed of copper vanes with curved brass armatures. The metal panels align with the breeze and the central Aluminum tube, suspended inside the brass rings, stabilizes the mobile allowing it to still move gracefully in stronger winds. The Aluminum vanes are disc brushed to create bright reflective light reflections in the metal.
The mobile is carefully hand-packaged, signed and dated by the artist Joel Hotchkiss and is fully assembled, ready to hang! 26"H x 26"W.
Alexander Calder made the mobile and stabile art form popular and was inspired by Juan Miro using bright, bold colors during the Mid Century Modern or Retro period of the 20th century. Now contemporary mobiles are used in a wide range of interior and exterior design venues.
